About Me

Hey, welcome to my website! If you want to know who I am, why this site exists and more, you’re in the right place!

Who are you?

I am a husband, father, disciple and friend who loves God. KC has been my home all of my life. I enjoy hanging with my family, riding BMX, chillin’ with friends, watching Chiefs games and spending time with God.

Why do you have a website?

Because I believeĀ the Kingdom of God inspires the greatest love!

In our world today there are so many views about what it means to be a Christian. There are as many accurate perspectives as there are inaccurate views on this topic. I don’t profess to know all things on this topic, but in politics, media, and often in everyday life I hear things said about “Christians” that has absolutely nothing to do with being a Christian.

I believe the Kingdom of God inspires people to the greatest love the world has ever seen. And because of that I want to share and explore what it means to be a part of God’s Kingdom. I believe that a right view of God affects how we work, learn, and act. God’s Kingdom is as diverse as God’s people. So…this page will share my perspective.

Where did the name “Flatland Dave” come from?

Since I was in elementary school I have loved riding BMX bikes, and as I got older my favorite style has been flatland freestyle. Flatland is a style of trick riding where all the tricks that are done on “flat land”, or the street. No ramps or jumps. Just you, the bike, pegs, imagination and a lot of practice.

My city has a local skatepark where I ride. There are not many flatlanders in my area. So, the guys at the park call me “Flatland Dave”. So, that is the name I used when I named my website.

Where did the “Flatland Dave” logo come from?

I have an amazing, artistic friend who agreed to draft up some logo’s for me. After several tries, we agreed on the logo I’m using today. It is awesome!
